Stewart Ergonomics, Inc. was founded to design and manufacture No Touch Safety Controls and SLAM DUNK precision dry leak detectors. It evolved from Stewart Enterprises, Inc., which was created in 1974 as a manufacturer of specialty machiner, providing custom design and construction of a wide variety; specializing in automatic assembly, drilling, and leak testing machinery.

In 1982, a project required a custom relay logic two-hand, no tie down control and the process for the development of our current No Touch System was born. By 1991, work progressed to the development of a low-force switch for use by the handicapped. In 1992, it was further developed into “No Touch” and became 100% solid state. By 1996, Stewart Ergonomics, Inc. assumed all responsibility for research and development design & manufacture, testing, and marketing of these unique Ergonomic® Two-Hand No TieDown Controls under Patent No. 5,451,770.

By 2002, having continued to manufacture a number of precision leak testers, they introduced their all digital Slam Dunk, the clean, dry leak tester, reading to .0001 psi working to .00001 psi in the current pressure range of .1 to 1000 psi. Several features are patent pending.
